Clowning Around

Sunday 6 April 2008

Clowning bridges the mundane and the magical with a sense of wonder and innocence.
It teaches you to be authentic and to connect with others in a light-hearted way.
At its best, clowning can speak the language of the heart and touch your soul.

In this energetic Introductory workshop, you will discover your inner clown
in a way that is organic, freeing and fun. You will explore physical and emotional
expression, inspire your natural humour, and learn again the value of play in your life.

You will discover the red nose, the smallest mask in the world. The red nose brings you present, enhances your awareness, and invites you to appreciate the poetry of life.
Come, and liberate the delight and joy of your inner clown.

Amongst other things, we will explore clowning with props, playing with different energies, improvising in pairs, and the humour and pathos of failure. Weather permitting, we will spend time in nature with the red nose in the Centre gardens.
